Many indie creators on itch offer free copies of their game to people from poor and marginalized backgrounds. This makes their games accessible to those who often wish to play them but lack the means to do so. I've been in that position before, and have often used these means to get a discount or free copy of something I would not have been able to afford otherwise. 

So I'm doing the same thing for all of my games on itch. For everyone who purchases a copy of a game I sell on itch, I will add a free community copy available for those from marginalized backgrounds and those who are experiencing financial hardship.
